Our Managing Director, Suresh Patel’s passion for cake started over 30 years ago when he became the owner of Classic Cakes, famous for flapjacks and traybakes, supplied to most of the high street retailers. Further opportunities came along and we started supplying some of the high street coffee shop chains with products.
When setting up the new bakery, Suresh bought a site which would allow for expansion as the business grew. The demand for gluten-free and vegan products was increasing so we decided to include the gluten-free add-on for our BRC accreditation.
Whilst many of our customers are household names, we are equally as happy to work with start-up businesses who are looking to scale up from their “home kitchen” to work with a manufacturing partner.
The purpose-built bakery has the latest equipment with a multi-million-pound investment, including mixers, depositors, ovens, cooling equipment, chocolate tempering, ultrasonic cutters, and wrapping machines.
The bakery works on a batch system which gives us the flexibility to produce large or small product runs. Our point of difference is our ability to hand finish our cakes to make them just that little bit more indulgent.
Although we only have six faces featured, all the team members are important in the bakery. With our own in-house Development, Technical and Engineering teams, we are well equipped to deal with whatever opportunities come our way.
